Hello,
it seems that the Edu Care Pro does fit the header image to the height of the header space. The free version Edu Care seemed to fit the to the width of the header space.
How can I ensure that an image is shown in full-width?

After uploading the image in header option, it provides an option to crop the image so you can crop the image as per requirement and place it on the header.

Thanks for your reply, I know about the option to crop images in the WordPress media library.
Should there be another way to influence the positioning / scaling of the header image within the Edu Care Pro theme, please let me know. Have a good day!

No, currently there is no such option to manage the positioning of the header image. You will be able to only crop the image while uploading.
Further, if you want to increase the height of the header image then we can help you with the custom CSS so please post your site URL.
