I understand that responsiveness might involve scaling of pictures. But may the scaling be limited to a maximum of the natural resolution of the picture in the media folder?

In media folder picture sizes are 1024 x ___ (landscape) or ___ x 1024 (portrait). The landscape pictures fit very well on screen, but the portrait pictures are too high. The upper end always will be cut. I already tried to use ___ x 800 pixels but slider picture is also too high. I’d like to see the complete picture.

The thing that troubles me now is to change the color of the space between the masonry images and i can’t seem to find out how. Is this a pro option only?

If i change the theme customer color to white, it looks better, more consistent, but it very.. white!

Any help would be appreciated.
