I’m Mark Ace, Founder and Managing Consultant of MC Associates

A little about me:

Since the formation of MC Associates in 2002, I have worked with many Companies, helping them to get their businesses going in the right direction... I’ve done this principally through the implementation of profit improvement strategies together with the coaching and training of ’the key people’. Since 2002, my clients have achieved some breath taking successes of which I’m very proud. I have also made many friends along the way!

I graduated from Reading University in 1984 and spent most of my early career in business development roles within the IT sector.

In 1993, I was hired by Ford Motor Company who were on the hunt for talent from outside the Motor Trade. At Ford, I managed the development and implementation of a unique business to business sales & marketing strategy for Ford’s franchised dealership network.

In 1997, I was head hunted by RAC Motoring Services as National Corporate Sales Manager and quickly rose through the ranks to become General Manager with P&L responsibility. I spent over 5 years at RAC and was at the heart of managing the change when the company de-mutualised in the late 1990s. After a period as Board Director at a Serviced Apartment Company, I founded MC Associates in 2002.

My key interest outside of work and family life is Golf, Skiing and Cycling. I also enjoy doing ’sporting challenges’ In August 2007, I cycled from Lands End to John O’Groat’s for Charity - 1000 miles in 10 days! Completed a half Marathon in 2009 and cycled from the Atlantic Coast to the Mediterranean Coast (along the Pyrenees Chain) in 2010! In 2011, we 'conquered' the Andalucian Mountains on 2 wheels!!
